මෙරට වයස අවුරුදු 5ට අඩු දරුවන් මිය යාමේ ප්‍රතිශතය ඉහල ගොස් ඇති බව වාර්තා වෙනවා.

එය සජීවී දරු උපත් 1,000කට 12.3ක අගයක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වී ඇති බවයි වාර්තා වන්නේ.

මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජාතික විගණන කාර්යාලය මගින් සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යංශය සඳහන් කර ඇත්තේ 2030 වර්ෂය වන විට සජීවී දරු උපත් 1,000ක් සඳහා 7ක් වැනි අගයකට පවත්වා ගැනීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන බවයි.

2021 වර්ෂයේ දෙසැම්බර් 31 වන විට මෙම අගය 10.5ක්ව පැවති අතර එය 2022 වර්ෂයේ දෙසැම්බර් 31වන විට 12.3ක් අගයක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වී ඇත.
